Challenge réalisé par Aurélien, Clémence et Thaysan (merci pour le script)
Over the past 72 hours, surveillance systems have picked up intermittent bursts of encrypted transmissions across the campus. The source appears to be experimental — possibly a rogue project gone dark — and traces suggest the signal could be carrying embedded instructions, potentially compromising the school's communications core.
This incident is being treated as a live infiltration scenario.
You have been selected for Operation Echelon, an advanced training simulation designed to mirror real-world signal intelligence recovery. But don’t be fooled — the lines between simulation and reality have a way of blurring.
We believe the first signal is already being emitted… from within the premises.
A remotely-operated RF transmitter has been placed somewhere in the room. It is currently broadcasting on a concealed frequency, 430 MHz
⚠️ IMPORTANT: You are strictly forbidden to use your own hardware — no HackRFs, personal SDRs, or external antennas. Only use the equipment and components provided to you during the mission. Unauthorized tools will immediately invalidate your progress.
Your mission:
Construct a reception device using only the materials available on-site. Capture the signal with the materials available on-site. Analyze the transmission — whether through custom-built scripts, logic analyzers, or manual decoding techniques. The transmission is not static — every frequency shift matters. Listen closely.
⚠️ This is your only entry point into the rest of the operation. Miss it, and you’re locked out. Please call a staff for this challenge.
On sait donc qu’il y a un émetteur dans la pièce qui envoie en continu un message codé. Nous avons a notre disposition du matériel pour créer notre propre setup de réception. il y avait:
